1. Presentation

Advanced Automation Manager (Gestion Automatisation Avancée) transforms Dolibarr into a genuine Low-Code / No-Code business-process-automation platform, comparable to Zapier, Microsoft Power Automate, Make (Integromat) and n8n, but fully native to Dolibarr. It becomes the central automation engine of the ERP/CRM.

Users build advanced automations without writing a single line of code, using a visual drag-and-drop workflow builder, a rich library of triggers, conditions and actions, more than 200 ready-to-use templates, scheduling, queues, execution monitoring and decisional reporting. The engine can automate every native Dolibarr module and lets external modules publish their own events.

2. What it automates

The engine can automate all native and external Dolibarr modules, including:

·       Third parties, contacts, prospects, customers and suppliers

·       Products, services, stock and warehouses

·       Quotes, customer and supplier orders

·       Invoices, supplier invoices, payments and banks

·       Shipments and receptions

·       Contracts, interventions and tickets

·       Agenda, resources, leave and HR

·       Users and groups

·       Accounting and fixed assets

·       Manufacturing, MRP and MES

·       Projects, tasks and GED

·       Emailings, the REST API and third-party modules

3. Modern Dashboard

The dashboard offers a real-time view of the whole automation engine with a flat-design + glassmorphism interface, an electric-blue / cyan / green / violet / orange palette, light animations, responsive layout and dark-mode support.

Key performance indicators

·       Total automations, active and disabled automations

·       Executions today, successful and failed executions

·       Success rate, average execution time and average response time

·       Number of workflows, business rules, triggers and actions

·       Number of errors, generated notifications and automatic tasks

·       Number of Cron jobs, queued items and available templates

Charts

·       Executions curve over 30 days

·       Distribution by status (pie)

·       Automations by module (bars)

·       Top workflows by runs

·       Most-used triggers and actions

·       Average execution time and queue load

4. Visual No-Code Workflow Builder

The flagship builder lets users design automations by drag-and-drop. A block palette provides trigger, condition, action, delay/wait, branch/decision, loop, approval, notification, sub-workflow and end nodes. Nodes are connected with SVG connectors on an infinite canvas.

·       Drag & drop, free node movement and per-node deletion

·       Zoom in/out, undo and redo

·       Simulate a run that highlights each step sequentially

·       Save the diagram (JSON) onto a workflow and reload it later

·       Support for conditions, decisions, loops, delays, approvals, multi-level escalation, parallelism, merge and reusable sub-workflows

5. Ready-to-use Template Library (200+)

More than 200 ready-to-use automations are provided, activatable in one click, across 15 categories: invoicing, sales, purchasing, stock, CRM, projects, HR, accounting, support, marketing, notifications, documents, maintenance, AI and synchronisation.

·       Instant search and category filtering

·       Difficulty, popularity and target module on every card

·       Examples: unpaid-invoice reminder, low-stock alert, welcome email, quote approval, contract expiry, project completion, payment received, birthday, PDF generation, archiving, cleanup, synchronisation

6. Triggers

A complete trigger library covers Dolibarr lifecycle and business events, plus technical entry points.

·       Object create, modify, validate, delete

·       Payment, invoicing, delivery, minimum/maximum stock, order, reception

·       Contract, intervention, project, ticket, agenda

·       User login/logout, import, export

·       Cron, API, webhook, e-mail received/sent

·       Date, hour, minute, day, month, birthday, expiration, SQL, script

·       External modules can publish their own events

7. Conditions & Rule Engine

A powerful rule engine supports IF / THEN / ELSE with AND / OR / NOT logic, expressions and regular expressions.

·       Comparators on dates, amounts, booleans and text

·       Variables, lists, objects and collections

·       Left/right operands and full expressions attached to a workflow

8. Automatic Actions

A very rich action library performs Dolibarr operations and technical tasks.

·       Create/modify third parties, quotes, orders, invoices, projects, tasks, interventions, tickets, contracts

·       Create notifications, e-mails, SMS, PDFs and documents; create users

·       Modify, delete, archive, close, validate, duplicate objects

·       Export, import, call an API or a webhook, run SQL or secured PHP / JavaScript

·       Call AI providers: Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Mistral

9. Variables, Scheduling, Queues

Variables can be global, system, user, session, workflow or computed, with expressions. Scheduling supports minute/hour/day/week/month/year frequencies, cron expressions, business days/hours and timezones. A queue-and-worker model (RabbitMQ-compatible design) provides asynchronous processing with retries and priorities.

10. Executions, Logs & History

Every run is recorded with status (success, error, running, queued, skipped), duration, number of steps, trigger source, object, user and IP address. Each execution keeps detailed per-node log lines, and a chronological history timeline eases diagnostics.

11. Notifications & Webhooks

Notifications are generated across e-mail, SMS, in-app, webhook, Slack and Teams, with recipient, subject, body and status tracking. Inbound and outbound webhooks connect workflows to external systems.

12. REST API

A complete REST API drives workflows programmatically: list, create, update, delete, execute, enable, suspend and test workflows; fire triggers; read executions and logs; install templates; receive inbound webhooks. Authentication uses Dolibarr API keys (DOLAPIKEY) with scoped module keys, rate limiting and expiry.

13. Reporting

A decisional reporting suite provides seven analyses — executions, workflows, triggers, actions, errors, performance and modules — each with charts, detailed tables, CSV export and print. Exports are available in CSV (and the platform supports Excel, PDF, Word, JSON and XML formats for reports).

14. Security

·       Role and permission management: 8 groups, 23 rights

·       CSRF token protection, XSS escaping, SQL-injection-safe escaped queries

·       Scoped API keys, rate limiting, OAuth2 / JWT-ready

·       Sandboxed execution for the secured-PHP action

·       Full audit journal: user, IP address, timestamp per execution

·       OWASP best practices

15. Configuration & Demo Data

The setup page configures the default run mode, retries, execution timeout, queue, logging and the AI engine (Claude / ChatGPT / Gemini / Mistral). One-click buttons create or remove a complete demonstration dataset (workflows, automations, triggers, actions, 200+ templates, executions, logs, statistics and demo customers).

16. Technical Characteristics

·       Compatible with Dolibarr 17 to 21+, PHP 7.1 to 8.2+, MariaDB / MySQL / PostgreSQL

·       Dolibarr standards, PSR-12, MVC and modular architecture, PHPDoc

·       Dolibarr hooks, triggers and native REST API; ModuleBuilder-compatible

·       Performance: lazy loading, cache, SQL optimisation, indexes, pagination, AJAX loading, asynchronous processing, queue manager and workers

·       Available in 5 languages: French, English, Spanish, Italian, German

·       15 business objects and tables, schema self-heal on upgrade
