Discover powerful Dolibarr extensions designed to automate your business processes

Building Construction Management turns Dolibarr into a full, specialised ERP for building-construction companies. It covers the entire lifecycle of a construction operation — from tenders and technical studies through project and site execution, procurement, equipment, HSE and quality, all the way to monthly works situations, native invoicing and analytical reporting.
The module is designed to be flexible enough for every type of construction business:
· General building contractors
· Property developers
· Home builders
· Structural-works (gros œuvre) companies
· Finishing-works (second œuvre) companies
· Renovation companies
· Civil-engineering companies
· Industrial and commercial construction companies
· Project-management (maîtrise d'œuvre) firms
· Delegated contracting owners (maîtrise d'ouvrage déléguée)
It ships with a premium SaaS-style dashboard, a drag-and-drop site Kanban board, 20 exportable reports, a first-activation demonstration dataset, five fully translated languages and complete native integration with Dolibarr's core (third parties, products, stock, purchases, quotes, orders, invoices, projects and ECM).
The dashboard is a completely bespoke construction cockpit built with a dedicated BTP visual identity (steel blue, site orange, concrete grey, safety yellow and site green). It is fully responsive and dark-mode aware.
A row of live alert tiles surfaces the situations that need immediate attention:
· Late sites (past their end date and not completed)
· Materials below their minimum stock threshold
· Open HSE events
· Open non-conformities
· Equipment currently in maintenance
Premium KPI cards are grouped into six thematic zones:
· Overview: Number of projects, active sites, completed sites, late sites, average progress, total / consumed / remaining budget.
· Sites & workforce: Workers, subcontractors, works situations.
· Procurement & stock: Supplier orders, deliveries, materials in stock, critical stock, available equipment, equipment in maintenance.
· HSE & Quality: HSE incidents, non-conformities.
· Finance: Revenue, issued invoices, project margin.
A compact phase board counts the sites in each of the six construction phases (Preparation, Earthworks, Structural works, Finishing works, Finishings, Handover). Four dynamic DolGraph charts render below:
· Site progress (bar chart of the most advanced active sites)
· Cost breakdown (donut of expenses by category)
· Revenue evolution (12-month works-situation revenue)
· Material consumption (donut of stock-out quantities by material)
Each construction project carries a complete record and acts as a hub for the whole operation:
· Reference, name and project type
· Client (linked to a Dolibarr third party)
· Location with GPS latitude/longitude
· Budget and start / end dates
· Project manager (Dolibarr user)
· Link to a native Dolibarr project
· Overall progress and status
· Linked-records panel (sites, markets, quotes, situations, finance) with one-click creation
Building sites (chantiers) are the operational heart of the module. Every site records its parent project, address and GPS, surface, dates, site manager, current phase and progress.
A dedicated drag-and-drop Kanban board organises every site across the six phases of the construction cycle. Dragging a card instantly updates the site's current phase (AJAX, no page reload). Each card shows progress, town and surface, with a colour-coded progress bar.
From a site card, the following linked records are managed inline:
· Phases: time-boxed construction phases with progress.
· Lots: work packages (gros œuvre, plumbing, electricity…) with amount and assigned subcontractor.
· Zones: physical areas (building, basement, parking, roads, green spaces) with surface.
· Site journal: daily site diary with weather, workforce count, machine count and description.
· Timesheets: workforce time records by team and date.
· Stakeholders: owners (MOA), project managers (MOE), architects, engineering offices (BET) and control offices, each linked to a third party with contact, specialty, phone and email.
· Subcontractors: dedicated records with third-party link, specialty, assigned site, contract amount and dates.
· Teams & workforce: site managers, foremen, masons, technicians and labourers, with assigned site, headcount, daily cost and Dolibarr user link.
· Tenders (calls for tender): consultation, estimation, publication and deposit dates, and result (submitted / won / lost).
· Markets: public and private markets with amount, signature date, contractual delay and guarantees.
· Amendments: amendments to a market with added amount, delay and reason.
· Quotes: estimation and pricing linked to a construction project and, natively, to a Dolibarr commercial proposal (Propal).
· Technical studies: plans, calculation notes, execution and layout drawings with version, author and date.
A full material library covers concrete, cement, steel, bricks, blocks, sand, gravel, wood, aluminium, glass, tiling, paint, plumbing, electrical, insulation, roofing, plaster and more. Each material records category, linked Dolibarr product, supplier, unit, unit price, current stock and minimum threshold.
· Procurement: purchase requests / supplier orders per site and supplier, linked to a native supplier order, with amount, dates and status.
· Deliveries: goods receipts against a purchase, with received quantity and receiver.
· Stock movements: in / out movements per material and site with quantity and date, feeding the consumption analytics.
Critical-stock materials are automatically surfaced on the dashboard and in the reporting suite.
Construction plant and machinery — tower cranes, excavators, bulldozers, aerial lifts, compactors, concrete mixers, dump trucks, loaders — are tracked with brand, model, serial number, availability, current site, purchase value and insurance expiry.
· Maintenance: preventive and corrective interventions per machine, with date, cost, provider and next-due date. A daily automation can flag equipment whose maintenance is overdue.
· HSE: incidents, accidents, safety audits, work permits and PPE checks per site, with severity, event date, description and corrective action.
· Quality: quality controls, reserves and non-conformities per site, with control date, result and open / lifted status.
A complete document library stores plans, contracts, minutes (PV), photos, BIM models, certificates, reports and technical notices. Documents are classified by type with counters, carry a version and keywords, support archiving, and are searchable and linked to their project.
· Works situations: monthly works situations per site with amount done, cumulative amount, retention (guarantee holdback), situation date and validation. Each validated situation can generate and link a native Dolibarr invoice.
· Attachments: detailed quantity lines (metrés) under a situation, with quantity, unit price and amount.
· Finance: analytical entries (budget / expense / income) per project and category, feeding budget tracking and project-margin analytics.
· Activity journal: a chronological log of site visits, coordination meetings, inspections, deliveries and calls, linked to projects and sites.
· Automations: user-defined rules with trigger event, condition, action and delay. A daily cron job runs the engine (closing handed-over sites, flagging overdue equipment maintenance, and executing active rules).
A dedicated reporting hub delivers 20 thematic reports, each exportable to PDF, Excel and CSV, plus direct printing. Reports include:

Every commercial operation reuses Dolibarr's native objects. The module integrates natively with:
· Third parties and contacts
· Products and services
· Stock and warehouses
· Purchases and suppliers
· Commercial proposals (quotes), orders and invoices
· Payments, banking and accounting
· Projects and agenda
· ECM / document management
Foreign-key links to native proposals (Propal), invoices (Facture) and supplier orders (CommandeFournisseur) render as clickable links throughout the module.
A dedicated administration page lets administrators configure the module and manage the demonstration dataset:
· Install demonstration data: populates clients, projects, sites, materials, suppliers, stock, orders, invoices, works situations and documents — including native third parties, products, projects and invoices.
· Remove demonstration data: removes only the records created by the module (tagged import_key = BCMDEMO), leaving all real business data untouched.
The demonstration dataset is versioned, so improved demo content is refreshed automatically on upgrade.
· Granular permissions: 19 rights groups in read / write / delete, plus reporting and administration
· CSRF protection with token renewal on create/edit actions
· XSS protection via systematic output escaping
· Prepared / escaped SQL queries throughout
· MultiCompany (multi-entity) compatibility
· Logging and audit trail via dol_syslog
The module follows the official Dolibarr module architecture with an object-oriented, documented and modular design:
· class/ — 29 CommonObject business classes + automation engine + sample-data generator
· core/modules, core/boxes, core/triggers — descriptor, dashboard widget, business triggers
· admin/, sql/, langs/ (5 languages), css/, js/, img/, lib/, doc/
· All tables prefixed llx_buildingconstruction_ with automatic schema self-healing on upgrade
