Discover powerful Dolibarr extensions designed to automate your business processes

1. Module Overview
Elevator & Vertical-Transport Management for Dolibarr (technical name: gestionascenseurs) is a complete, native solution that turns Dolibarr into a professional platform for companies that install, maintain, repair, inspect and modernise elevators, goods lifts, platform lifts, escalators, moving walkways and other vertical-transport equipment. It runs entirely under custom/gestionascenseurs/ without modifying the Dolibarr core, and covers the whole equipment lifecycle across 50 native business objects and 5 languages (French, English, Spanish, Italian, German).
2. Business Objectives
The module lets a vertical-transport company manage all of its activities without any additional software: commercial prospecting, technical study and site survey, quotation, installation projects, commissioning, maintenance contracts, preventive and corrective maintenance, breakdown and emergency response, on-call duty, regulatory inspection, non-conformity handling, modernisation and renovation, spare-part logistics, warranties, subcontracting, claims/after-sales, invoicing, profitability tracking, reporting and complete equipment history archiving.
3. Target Users
· Elevator installation and maintenance companies (multi-brand).
· Facility and property managers operating vertical-transport assets.
· Maintenance dispatchers, technicians and on-call teams (mobile-friendly interface).
· Technical, commercial, quality/HSE and financial managers, plus end customers via the client portal.
4. Elevator Asset Management
Each unit has a complete record: identification (reference, serial number, barcode, unique QR code), classification (15 equipment types), and full technical characteristics — number of stops and levels, rated load, capacity, rated speed, drive type, controller/manoeuvre, machine-room configuration, door type, remote monitoring, alarm and battery back-up, PMR (accessibility) compliance, energy class and total/daily travel counters. A component nomenclature (traction machine, controller, cabin, doors, shaft, safety gear, signalling, communication) tracks lifespan, warranties and replacement dates, and a consolidated life-log records every event of the unit.
5. Site & Building Management
A hierarchical model Customer -> Site -> Building -> Shaft/Zone -> Elevator organises the whole portfolio, with GPS coordinates, access conditions, safety instructions, building type (17 types), and criticality. Every site and building shows its linked elevators, contracts, interventions, inspections and claims.
6. Installation Projects
Installation and replacement works are tracked as projects broken down into the full sequence of phases (technical study, plan validation, procurement, manufacturing, shipping, shaft preparation, mechanical and electrical installation, cabin and doors, programming, testing, quality control, compliance, commissioning, provisional and definitive acceptance, warranty start, hand-over). Each project carries initial and revised budgets, real cost, margin, progress and a link to the native Dolibarr project.
7. Maintenance Contracts
Twelve contract types (simple, semi-full, full, all-inclusive, preventive-only, with breakdown, with on-call, parts-included, multi-technical, temporary, warranty, custom) with covered equipment, visit frequency, coverage hours, contractual response and restoration times, included/excluded parts and labour, annual caps, penalties, indexation, billing periodicity and payment terms. A reusable contract-template library, amendments, renewals and billing schedules complete the contract lifecycle, and per-contract profitability (revenue, cost, gross margin, margin rate) is computed automatically.
8. Preventive Maintenance
A planning engine generates preventive interventions from the equipment type, brand, age, travel count, criticality, contract, regulation and manufacturer recommendations. Frequencies are fully configurable (weekly to annual, or counter/hour/condition based). Job plans define operations, control points, required skills, PPE, tools and recommended parts; checklists cover every organ of the unit. Generation accounts for public holidays, absences and geographic grouping of rounds.
9. Corrective Maintenance & Breakdown Management
Breakdowns can be declared from Dolibarr, the customer portal, a QR-code scan, e-mail, the REST API or a remote-monitoring device. Each callout records the affected unit, urgency, trapped-passenger flag, error code and symptoms. Full SLA timestamping (declaration, acknowledgement, dispatch, departure, arrival, passenger release, restoration, closure) drives automatic KPIs and penalty detection, and a root-cause analysis captures the failing component, probable cause, applied solution and repeat-failure detection.
10. Emergency Response & On-Call
Interventions involving trapped passengers are highlighted immediately. An on-call planning organises available technicians per zone with escalation levels, back-up technicians and a call log, so out-of-hours emergencies are handled and traced end to end.
11. Technician Scheduling
Multiple planning views (day, week, month, per technician, per team, per zone, map, Gantt, workload) support drag-and-drop assignment, conflict detection, availability, required skills and habilitations, travel time and SLA awareness. Technician competencies and habilitations (electrical authorisation, working-at-height, aerial-platform licence, certifications) are tracked with expiry dates and alerts, and unqualified assignments are flagged.
12. Spare Parts & Stock
An elevator spare-part catalogue (controller, VVVF drive, door operator, guide rollers, traction cables, speed governor, safety gear, back-up battery, control boards) is integrated with native Dolibarr products, warehouses, lots and stock. Movements are created automatically on reservation, consumption, return and receipt; minimum-stock alerts, purchase suggestions and supplier orders support replenishment.
13. Inspections & Regulatory Compliance
Regulatory controls (initial, periodic, five-yearly, after-works, after-incident, safety, electrical, mechanical, accessibility) are planned per approved body, with results, reserves, non-conformities, gravity, correction deadlines, proof of correction, counter-visits and certificates. Non-conformities follow a full corrective-action workflow, and expiry alerts prevent missed obligations.
14. Modernisation & Renovation
A modernisation diagnosis analyses age, failure frequency, availability, compliance, obsolescence, energy consumption, comfort and accessibility, then compares scenarios (controller, VVVF, machine, doors, cabin, cables, remote-monitoring, energy upgrade, full modernisation, full replacement) on cost, duration, energy gain, ROI, lifespan extension and risk.
15. Warranties
Equipment, manufacturer, part, installation and intervention warranties are tracked with start/end dates, conditions and exclusions; the module alerts when an intervention or part is eligible for warranty coverage, and computes avoided cost.
16. Dashboard — Control Tower Vertical Mobility
A modern steering dashboard presents the fleet as a control tower: total elevators, in-service / breakdown / maintenance / immobilised units, fleet availability, open and critical breakdowns, today's and overdue interventions, preventive completion, MTBF, MTTR, first-visit-fix, SLA compliance, active/expiring contracts, contract value, revenue and margin by activity, regulatory controls due, open non-conformities, customer satisfaction, technician workload and critical stock, with interactive charts and global filters (period, customer, site, brand, technician, contract, criticality).
17. Reporting
A full reporting menu produces filterable, printable and exportable reports (PDF, Excel, CSV) on the fleet, maintenance, breakdowns, contracts, finance, technical indicators, regulatory obligations and workforce load, with saved filters, templates and scheduled e-mail delivery.
18. Customer Portal
A secure client portal lets customers view their sites and elevators and their status, declare a breakdown, follow an intervention, download reports, consult contracts, inspections, invoices and quotations, sign documents, submit a claim and answer a satisfaction survey, each customer accessing only its own data.
19. REST API & Interoperability
A secure REST API exposes equipment, breakdowns, interventions, planning, contracts and dashboard data, and accepts remote-monitoring feeds (error codes, travel counters, measurements). It uses Dolibarr authentication and permissions, per-route access control, logging and configurable outbound webhooks, so a mobile app or an IoT/BMS gateway can synchronise with the module. Advanced/predictive features are modular and can be disabled from configuration; the core works with no external service.
20. Security & Rights
Sixteen fine-grained permission groups (patrimony, commercial, projects, equipment, requests, work orders, preventive, technicians, regulatory, contracts, stock, energy, cost, documents, alerts, reporting) plus sensitive rights (financial costs, connectors/API, module administration) map to role profiles (administrator, management, technical/maintenance manager, planner, sales, technician, storekeeper, quality, accountant, subcontractor, customer). All queries are parameterised, output is escaped, CSRF tokens are enforced and multi-entity (MultiCompany) is respected.
21. Dolibarr Integrations
Bidirectional links with native modules: Third parties & contacts, Proposals, Sales & Supplier orders, Customer & Supplier invoices (including recurring billing), Products & Services, Stock & Warehouses, Projects & Tasks, Agenda, Contracts and the Document/ECM store, so quotes, orders, invoices, stock movements, projects and calendar events are created and linked from the elevator business objects.
22. Demo Data
A one-click demo generator seeds a realistic dataset (customers, sites, buildings, elevators of several brands and types, components, contracts, interventions, breakdowns, technicians, plannings, spare parts, regulatory controls, non-conformities, installation projects and billing links) so every feature can be tested immediately. A second button safely removes only the demo-tagged data, with confirmation, permission check and a deletion report.
