1. Overview

ESG / CSR Enterprise turns Dolibarr ERP & CRM into a complete Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) management system. It enables companies, SMEs, large groups, industries, public bodies, NGOs and international organisations to build, steer and improve their sustainability performance directly inside Dolibarr, without any external software.

The module is designed to compare with leading professional ESG platforms (SAP Sustainability Control Tower, Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability, Workiva, Sphera, Enablon, Diligent, Cority, EcoVadis, IBM Environmental Intelligence Suite) while remaining fully native to Dolibarr.

2. Functional Architecture

The module is organised around 23 business objects covering the three ESG pillars, each with a list view, a card view, search, column selection, multi-entity support and permission control. Five 'hub' objects (Strategy, Objective, Carbon, Employee, Supplier) expose a KPI cockpit on their card.

Eight right groups (strategy, environment, social, governance, supplier, compliance, action, reporting) drive read / write / delete permissions plus a module administration right — 23 granular rights in total. Read and write are granted by default on activation so the module is immediately usable.

4. Next-generation Dashboard

The dashboard follows a sustainability colour charter (green = durability, blue = trust, orange = energy, grey = governance, red = risk) and is organised in zones:

·       ESG score gauges: global score plus Environmental, Social and Governance pillar scores and objectives progress

·       Environmental KPIs: total CO2, carbon reduction, energy consumption, renewable share, water, waste, recycling rate

·       Social KPIs: workforce, CSR training hours, employee satisfaction, gender diversity, work accidents

·       Governance & risk KPIs: ethics score, audits completed, critical risks, suppliers evaluated, active certifications

·       Analytics: CO2 by scope, carbon trend, objectives by pillar and supplier scores (DolGraph charts)

·       17 SDG progress grid, 5x5 ESG risk heatmap and an alerts zone (overdue actions, expiring certifications)

 

5. Key Workflows

ESG objective lifecycle

Define an objective (pillar, domain, baseline, target) → link it to an SDG and a responsible → record the current value → progress is computed automatically → attach actions → monitor on the dashboard.

Carbon accounting

Record emission sources per scope, activity quantity and emission factor → CO2e is derived → multi-year trend feeds the dashboard and the carbon report → the AI assistant forecasts next-year emissions from the reduction target.

Supplier ESG evaluation

Score suppliers on Environmental, Social, Ethics and Governance criteria → an overall ESG score is computed → suppliers are linked to Dolibarr third parties → low-scoring suppliers trigger AI recommendations.

Risk management

Register ESG risks with probability and impact → criticality (P x I) positions them on the 5x5 heatmap → define a mitigation plan and owner → critical risks are surfaced on the dashboard and by the AI assistant.

Audit & certification

Plan audits (internal, supplier, environmental, social, governance) → record findings, non-conformities and actions → track certifications with obtainment and expiry dates → receive renewal alerts.

 

6. AI Assistant

The built-in ESG AI assistant analyses the module data to produce, in real time:

·       ESG performance analysis highlighting the weakest pillar

·       ESG risk detection (critical/high risks, low-scoring suppliers, overdue actions, expiring certifications)

·       Carbon emissions forecast based on the configured reduction target

·       Sustainability recommendations tailored to the current indicators

·       An automatically generated CSR report draft

 

7. Reporting

The extra-financial reporting suite provides ten report tabs, each with CSV export: ESG overview, Environment, Social, Governance, Carbon, SDG contribution, ESG suppliers, ESG risks, Compliance & certifications, and KPI. Reports can be exported to CSV and printed.

ESG / CSR Enterprise integrates with native Dolibarr modules: Third parties (stakeholders, ESG suppliers, audited entities), Products & Purchases (responsible purchasing), Projects, HR, and Document Management. It supports multi-entity (MultiCompany), multi-language and Dolibarr permissions.

Internationalisation
