1. Overview

Farm Management Pro is a commercial, production-grade Dolibarr module published by DoliResources that turns Dolibarr into a genuine agricultural firm management platform (AgriERP). It lets a farm business run every one of its activities directly inside Dolibarr — with no need for a separate agricultural software package — while enriching and reusing Dolibarr's native strengths (third parties, products, projects, quotes, orders and invoices).

The module covers the full operational lifecycle of a modern farm: land and parcel registry, crops and cultural campaigns, field operations, harvests and yields, livestock and animal health, machinery and maintenance, inputs and stock, workforce, production sales, subsidies, field and weather monitoring, an automation/alert engine, and a complete reporting suite. It ships with a dedicated, farm-themed operations dashboard and an installable demonstration dataset.

Business objective: enable a farm manager to run in-depth, end-to-end management of the operation from a single system — planning the season, recording every field intervention, tracking herds and veterinary acts, controlling machinery and input stocks, selling production and invoicing customers, and steering the business through key performance indicators.

3. Functional scope

Farm Management Pro is organised around eighteen business objects driven by a generic, registry-based engine that provides consistent list, card, search, column-toggle and inline-create behaviour for every object. The objects are grouped below by functional domain.

3.1 Land & crop production

·       Parcels / Fields: land registry with surface (ha), soil type, irrigation mode, tenure (owned / leased / share-cropping), GPS coordinates, town, land value and owner (linked Dolibarr third party).

·       Crops & Varieties: reference catalogue of grown species and varieties — crop family, variety, cycle length, target yield (t/ha), market price and a link to a Dolibarr product.

·       Cultural campaigns: the heart of the season: each campaign links a parcel and a crop, tracks sown surface, sowing and planned-harvest dates, expected yield, estimated revenue and actual cost, and moves through a crop-cycle Kanban (Preparation → Sowing → Growing → Maturing → Harvest → Closed, with an Abandoned lane).

·       Field operations: every field operation — tillage, sowing, fertilizing, plant-protection treatment, irrigation, weeding, harvesting — with date, input used, dose, mobilised machinery, worker and cost.

·       Harvests: recorded quantities, unit, quality grade, yield per hectare, storage location and valuation, linked back to the campaign, parcel and crop.

3.2 Livestock

·       Herds: by species, breed, headcount, building and category (breeding, fattening, dairy, mixed).

·       Animals: individual animals with ear tag, species, breed, sex, birth date, herd, weight and status.

·       Animal health & veterinary: vaccinations, treatments, visits, prophylaxis — with veterinary product, diagnosis, veterinarian, withdrawal period (days) and cost, linked to the animal and/or herd.

3.3 Machinery & inputs

·       Farm machinery: tractors, harvesters, sprayers, seeders and more — brand, model, year, hour counter, acquisition value, status and linked product.

·       Machinery maintenance: preventive, corrective and overhaul operations with cost, technician, date and next due date.

·       Inputs & stock: seeds, fertilizers, plant-protection products and animal feed — current stock, minimum stock, unit price, supplier, expiry date and storage location.

·       Stock movements: in/out entries with quantity, reason and destination parcel, feeding consumption reports.

3.4 Workforce, sales & subsidies

·       Workforce: permanent and seasonal staff with role, contract type, hourly cost and optional Dolibarr user link.

·       Production sales: production sales with crop/product, customer, quantity, unit price and total, plus one-click creation of native Dolibarr quotes, orders and invoices.

·       Subsidies: CAP and other aids by type, season, parcel, amount, awarding body, request and grant dates, with a granted/pending status.

·       Field & weather monitoring: weather and agronomic readings (temperature, rainfall, humidity, soil moisture) with observations, per parcel.

3.5 Cross-cutting

·       Activity log: a chronological activity journal across parcels and campaigns.

·       Automation & alerts: rule-based alerts and a daily cron engine — low stock, soon-expiring inputs, due maintenance, active veterinary withdrawal periods, and automatic closing of harvested campaigns.

4. The farm operations cockpit (dashboard)

Rather than a generic KPI page, Farm Management Pro ships an original dashboard designed around the agricultural business and its colours (field green, earth, golden wheat, sky blue):

·       Alert tiles: six live alert tiles across the top — low-stock inputs, today's operations, animals under withdrawal, campaigns to harvest, maintenance due, and soon-expiring inputs — each turning "hot" (red) when action is required and linking straight to the relevant list.

·       Five KPI zones: Crop production, Livestock, Machinery & inputs, Commercial & finance, and Subsidies — surfacing the most significant indicators (total surface, active campaigns, headcount, veterinary cost, stock value, sales revenue, gross margin, subsidies granted, and more).

·       Four significant charts: harvested output by month, surface distribution by crop, intervention cost by type, and campaigns by stage — all rendered with Dolibarr's native DolGraph.

·       Crop-cycle board: a preview of the crop-cycle Kanban board, with a direct link to the interactive drag-and-drop board.

5. Reporting

A dedicated Reporting menu produces thirteen situation reports covering the whole operation. Every report can be exported to CSV, Excel and PDF, and printed.

6. Native Dolibarr integration

Farm Management Pro is not a silo — it reuses and enriches native Dolibarr modules:

·       Third parties (Societe): parcels reference their owner, inputs reference their supplier, and sales reference their customer as native Dolibarr third parties.

·       Products & services: crops, inputs, equipment and sales can each link to a native Dolibarr product/service.

·       Projects: cultural campaigns can be attached to a native Dolibarr project.

·       Quotes, Orders & Invoices: the dedicated Invoicing page turns any production sale into a native quote, order or invoice in one click, pre-filled with the customer, product, quantity and price — and stores the created document's reference back on the sale.

7. Demonstration data

The module configuration page includes two one-click buttons:

·       Install demo data: generates a coherent, realistic dataset — 25 parcels, 12 crops, 40 campaigns, 150 field operations, 60 harvests, 8 herds, 80 animals, 60 veterinary acts, 20 machines, 40 maintenance records, 30 inputs (some deliberately low-stock or near-expiry), 100 stock movements, 15 workers, 50 sales, 20 subsidies, 80 monitoring readings and automation rules — together with native customers, suppliers, products and draft quotes/invoices.

·       Remove demo data: safely removes every demonstration record (tagged with a dedicated import key), including the native objects it created.

A versioned dataset guard lets the demo content be refreshed on upgrade without duplicating rows.

8. Security, permissions & administration

·       Granular rights: fourteen permission groups (parcels, crops, campaigns, interventions, harvests, livestock, health, equipment, inputs, sales, subsidies, monitoring, automations, reporting), with read and write granted by default and delete/administration reserved.

·       Multi-entity: all data is entity-scoped, ready for multi-company / SaaS deployments.

·       Scheduled engine: a daily scheduled job (AgriRunAutomations) evaluates the alert rules; it can also be run on demand.

·       Consistent navigation: every user-facing page carries a farm-themed top navigation bar synchronised with the Dolibarr left menu.
