Pharmacy Management is a comprehensive ERP solution that transforms Dolibarr into a modern, professional, and secure pharmacy management software. The module covers all pharmacy activities: purchasing medications, over-the-counter sales, prescription sales, pharmaceutical stock management, batch and expiration date tracking, laboratories, suppliers, patients, medical prescriptions, parapharmacy products, inventories, promotions, cash handling, sales statistics, and regulatory requirements.

The module leverages Dolibarr's native components (Products, Third Parties, Inventory, Warehouses, Supplier Orders and Invoices, Bank) and adds its own custom business objects. No modifications to the Dolibarr core are required: the module uses only official extension mechanisms (hooks, triggers, native classes, permissions, menus, module_parts, DolGraph). It is multi-entity and designed for commercialization by DoliResources.

The dashboard, inspired by modern pharmaceutical software, is organized into four zones offering an instant view of the pharmacy's activity.

Zone A — Strategic Indicators

·       Daily and monthly sales figures, number of sales, prescriptions processed, monthly margin, out-of-stock products, average basket size, stock value (KPI cards, rounded values).

Zone B — Pharmacy activity

·       DolGraph charts: daily sales (14 days) and best-selling medications.

Zone C — Inventory Management

·       Products in stock, nearing expiry, expired products, pending supplier orders, number of suppliers and laboratories.

Zone D — Critical alerts

·       Expired medicines, batches to be withdrawn, products below threshold, suppliers with delays (clickable alert tiles).

Drug information sheet linked to the Dolibarr product: drug code, INN, trade name, laboratory, therapeutic class, pharmaceutical form, dosage, packaging, barcode, purchase and sale price, VAT rate, reimbursable product, prescription product, alert threshold.

Categories

Therapeutic families, parapharmacy, medical equipment, nutrition, veterinary, hygiene & cosmetics — unlimited tree structure based on Dolibarr's native categories.

Laboratories

Laboratory information sheet, associated products, commercial contracts and purchase history.

Suppliers

Related to Dolibarr third parties: delivery times, order history, pricing conditions; each supplier has its own wording.

Purchases

Purchase requests, orders and supplier invoices (integration into the Dolibarr Purchasing module), quality control.

Receptions

For each receipt: batch number, manufacturing date, expiry date, quantity received, conformity check, with automatic stock update.

Orders

Prescription record: patient, prescribing physician, date, prescribed medications, quantities, duration of treatment; archiving, history and quick search.

Patients

Patient database: name, telephone number, address, social security number, health insurance provider, purchase and prescription history.

Point of Sale (POS)

Point of sale interface: quick search, barcode reading, sale with or without prescription, stock control, automatic total calculation, receipt printing.

Stocks

Advanced multi-warehouse management: entries, exits, returns and adjustments based on Dolibarr's native stock.

Batch numbers & expiry dates

For each batch: number, date of manufacture, expiry date, quantity; automatic alerts at 6, 3 and 1 month before expiry.

Inventories

Rolling inventory, annual or by family, with management of discrepancies (theoretical vs physical).

Promotions

Temporary promotions, packages and discounts, with a validity period.

Box

Opening and closing of till, receipts and disbursements; payment methods: cash, bank card, check, transfer, mobile payment.

Regulatory alerts

Expired medications, recalled batches, stock shortages, regulatory controls — deduplicated alert engine, executable manually or by scheduled task.

Reporting

Sales reports (revenue by period, category, laboratory; best-selling products), inventory (value, expired, nearing expiration), suppliers, patients, and financial reports (margins, profitability). Export to CSV, Excel, and PDF.

The generic engine (objectlist.inc.php / objectcard.inc.php) provides the following for each object: filterable lists with column display selectors, detailed records, creation/modification forms, status transitions, and cockpits for key objects (prescription, sale, cash register, inventory). A self-healing schema mechanism automatically adds new columns during updates.

The module defines granular permissions per domain (read, create/modify, delete, administer). Read and write rights are granted by default upon activation for immediate use.

The Settings menu offers two buttons: "Install demo data" and "Delete demo data" (confirmation required). The dataset includes laboratories, suppliers, medications, batches, patients, prescriptions, sales, cash register (open and closed sessions with transactions), promotions, inventories, and alerts. The data is tagged import_key = 'PHARMADEMO' for secure deletion. The dataset is versioned: it reinstalls automatically when the module is updated.

The module creates direct links with: Products, Third Parties, Quotes, Orders, Invoices, Stocks, Warehouses, Bank, Cashier, and Calendar. Automations include: invoicing, stock updates upon sale and receipt, and supplier order proposals.
