1. Introduction & Objectives

Physiotherapy Center Management is a comprehensive Dolibarr ERP/CRM business module designed to digitalize the day-to-day operations of a physiotherapy, rehabilitation and physical-therapy practice. It brings together patient management, clinical workflows, scheduling, billing and reimbursement in a single integrated solution that runs on top of the open-source Dolibarr platform.

The module is published by DoliResources under the GPL v3+ licence and is compatible with Dolibarr v16 through v23+ and PHP 8.x. It ships fully translated in French, English, Italian, German and Spanish, and supports multi-entity installations.

Objectives

·       Centralize patient records, medical files and clinical history in a single secure repository.

·       Streamline the full care pathway: consultation, functional assessment, treatment plan, rehabilitation sessions and follow-up.

·       Optimize resources — therapists, treatment rooms, equipment and consumables — through planning and availability tracking.

·       Automate billing, packages/subscriptions and third-party reimbursement with insurance funds and mutual insurers.

·       Provide managers with a premium medical dashboard and 19 reports for real-time decision-making.

·       Reduce administrative overhead with automated alerts, demo data seeding and fine-grained access control.

2. Architecture & Dolibarr Integration

The module follows the native Dolibarr MVC architecture and the CommonObject ORM. Each of the 20 business objects is implemented as a class extending CommonObject, with generated list views, record cards, create/edit forms, a status workflow, notes and document (GED/ECM) tabs.

Native module dependencies

The module depends on and integrates seamlessly with the following native Dolibarr modules:

·       Products/Services and Third parties (Societe) — hard dependencies used for catalog and patient/company links.

·       Propal (Quotes) and Facture (Invoices) with Payments and Bank — native invoicing and cash-flow.

·       Agenda — appointment and planning integration.

·       GED/ECM — document management for each record.

·       Projects, Categories, Multi-entity and Multi-language support.

The following table summarizes the 20 business objects delivered by the module, each backed by its own database table and generic-engine screens.

·       Propal (Quotes) — commercial proposals for care programmes and packages.

·       Facture (Invoices) — patient and third-party invoicing.

·       Payments and Bank — cash-flow tracking and reconciliation.

8. Settings & Demo Data

The administration/setup page (admin/setup.php) centralizes the module configuration:

·       Default therapist.

·       Consultation fees.

·       Default session duration.

·       Email reminders.

Two dedicated buttons manage the demonstration dataset:

·       “Seed demonstration data” — populates the module with a realistic, ready-to-explore dataset.

·       “Delete demonstration data” — cleanly purges the demo dataset.

Auto-seeded demo dataset (on activation):

6 insurers, 8 native services, 8 therapists, 6 doctors, 10 pathologies, 15 acts, 10 consumables, 6 rooms, 8 equipment items, 14 patients, 14 medical files, 10 treatment plans, 30 appointments, 20 consultations, 16 assessments, 40 sessions, 12 prescriptions, 12 packages, 12 documents, 14 reimbursements and 10 alerts, plus native quotes and invoices.

9. Fine-Grained Permissions (62 rights)

The module defines 62 fine-grained permissions (rights id 510001–510062), following the standard Dolibarr read / write / delete pattern per functional domain, plus reporting and administration rights. This allows precise assignment of capabilities per user group.

The module strictly follows Dolibarr development standards and best practices:

·       Dolibarr MVC architecture with the CommonObject ORM.

·       Hooks and triggers for extensibility and cross-module interaction.

·       Cron task: a daily alert engine that generates operational alerts.

·       CSRF protection via newToken() and server-side data validation.

·       PHPDoc-documented codebase (82 PHP files, php -l clean).

·       Install / upgrade / uninstall scripts, automated through the module descriptor with schema self-healing.

·       Multi-entity support.

·       Official Dolibarr internationalization through langs->trans().

11. Internationalization

The module is fully internationalized using the official Dolibarr translation mechanism (langs->trans()). All labels, menus, help texts and reports are delivered in five languages:
